MT ”Helene Knutsen” was the first vessel to call at the new terminal at Nyhavna close to Molde. The terminal is the processing plant for the Ormen Lange gas field, that will be in production later this year, sending gas to Easington in UK.
”Helene Knutsen” delivered nafta needed for the final testing of the plant before the gas from Ormen Lange will be put on stream through the worlds longest sub sea gas pipe, Langeled.

- The harbour facilities are the best we have ever visited, and being the first vessel in this new harbour is a “milestone” also for us, Master Helge Sandneseng at “Helene Knutsen” says.

The arrival of “Helene Knutsen” gave the crew at the two tugboats their first chance to tow a large vessel into Nyhavna.
- Everything went smooth, and the personnel on shore and at the tugs seemed to appreciate the opportunity to test out all the proceedings, Master Sandneseng says.
